Sprint Option: Week 3

I don’t even know how to begin here. I’m still dumbfounded by what happened this weekend. You’ll have to bear with me as I try to shake off the shock. Briefer one this week as there was not a whole lot of intrigue.

Let’s sprint it out!

Florida gives up lead to Tennessee, wins on 63 yard Hail Mary…

What. A. Throw. I cannot believe what I just saw. Florida tried to give the game away and would have assuredly lost in over time the way Volunteer halfback, John Kelly was balling. I still can’t believe that happened. This game was 59:45 of pure, undiluted garbage. Really, it was the full 60. No team has defended the Hail Mary that bad since, well, when Georgia did it to Tennessee last season. I can’t think of anything else to say, but I have included the tweets that sum up my reaction. Also, Tennessee has got to get rid of Butch Jones.

Also, 3 plays inside the 5, all passes.

Is this real? You have arguably the best receiver in the SEC in Marquez Callaway, put him out there! What are you doing, Butch?!

Clemson outright demolished Louisville…

Bye bye, repeat Heisman. It’s a shame since what Jackson can do despite his offensive line is nothing short of miraculous. That said, he ran right into the teeth of a Venables defense and he had next to no time to get rid of the ball. Jackson also learned how fast Clemson’s defense is. Mercy. I could not have been more wrong about this game in Bet the Board–not technically true, I could have also picked the under.

Texas takes Trojans to double OT…

Wut…? Listen, I’m not Texas’s biggest fan after the crock about Charlie Strong, but Strong also didn’t do himself any favors. Because of that, I figured Herman would middle through his first season and get torn up by great teams. I still believe that, I just don’t feel like USC is a great team. Rough realization when you consider that Sam Darnold is my Heisman pick.

Rutgers won a football game 65-0…

That’s all for this week. Hopefully, next week will be more interesting. Though, I don’t know if my heart can take it.
